Khaberni - Alongside the qualitative leaps achieved by the pharmaceutical sector in Jordan, which we are all proud of as nationals of this country, there remains a hidden aspect that plays the most important role in the success and sustainability of the healthcare system, which is the science of "pharmaceutical supply chains".
This sector is not just a logistical detail, but the beating heart that ensures that the scientific and industrial efforts reach the patient safely and efficiently.
From my experience with this reality, I find that the biggest challenge we face today is not only in providing medication, but in managing the "flow of this medicine" wisely to prevent waste and preserve resources. The drug wastage we sometimes witness is not a result of negligence, but rather a natural consequence of the gap between traditional tools and the complexities of the modern market. From here, our urgent need for adopting global practices based on "proactivity" in inventory management, rather than merely "reacting," becomes evident.
I deeply believe that the key lies in "human empowerment." No matter how advanced the technology becomes, the pharmaceutical and logistical staff remain the primary engine. Therefore, it has become imperative to shift our training methods towards "professional simulation"; tools that provide the trainee with years of experience in just a few days, teaching them how to manage crises and minimize waste in a safe environment before facing the practical realities with their financial and health implications.
As part of this system, my ambition is to see our Jordanian competencies armed with the latest international standards in supply chains. We strive not only to reduce losses but to enhance the quality of life for the Jordanian patient and ensure the delivery of medicine to him in the toughest conditions and at the lowest costs. It is a purely professional vision, aimed to keep Jordan always at the forefront of health excellence and leadership in resource management
