Khaberni - The Syndicate of Acting Professions, led by artist Ashraf Zaki, has referred artist Ahmed Maher for investigation after his derogatory statements about artist Ramez Jalal, related to his own prank shows.
Official apology from the Syndicate
The Syndicate has issued an official apology to the family of the late director Jalal Tawfiq, and artists Yasser Jalal and Ramez Jalal, for the derogatory statements made.
On their part, the defense office of Yasser and Ramez Jalal has announced their monitoring of the investigations, confirming their readiness to take all legal actions against Ahmed Maher, and anyone involved in filming, publishing, or republishing the offensive video.
The start of the crisis
The crisis began after a video was circulated on social media showing Ahmed Maher using offensive language towards Ramez Jalal, due to the prank show «Ramez Level the Beast».
