Khaberni - The Public Health and Safety Committee in Irbid governorate, today Tuesday, removed 37 mobile stalls that were obstructing traffic and pedestrian movement in various areas of the city of Irbid.
And the acting governor of Irbid, Dr. Raed Al-Jaafreh, told the Jordanian News Agency (Petra), that the committee, which included the Greater Irbid Municipality, the Health Department, Public Institution for Food and Drug, the Directorate of Industry and Trade, and the Royal Environmental Protection Administration, closed a downtown dairy and frozen food shop for violating health regulations, in addition to suspending two grocery stores from operating until the specified violations are rectified.
He added that 19 inspection notices were issued by the Food and Drug Institution during the tour to correct some negatives in the facilities, in addition to issuing environmental and health violations for a number of other shops.
Dr. Al-Jaafreh affirmed that the monitoring tours in the markets will continue throughout the blessed month of Ramadan in coordination with the relevant authorities, as part of the approved plan to intensify health surveillance to preserve public safety.
