Khaberni - The Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, under direct instructions from His Majesty King Abdullah II, did not stop providing relief to the Gaza Strip, and their efforts continued hour by hour, transferring more than two thousand people from the sector since March 2025 until yesterday, Monday, including 635 Gazan children on a humanitarian treatment mission that has not ceased throughout 360 days and is still ongoing.
The figures indicate that the treatment mission in Jordan ended for 190 persons including 64 patients and 126 companions, who have returned to the Gaza Strip and received medical reports to that effect. The armed forces have so far carried out 25 evacuation flights for the children, with 2,233 persons being evacuated including 635 children accompanied by 1,598 people from their families, a process described by the government communication minister, the official spokesperson, Mohammed Al-Momani, as embodying the steadfast values of Jordan: compassion, solidarity, and courage.
After nearly a year since the beginning of the children's evacuation operation, it added that the medical evacuation of children from the Gaza Strip embodies Jordan's steadfast values of solidarity, courage, and compassion, standing firm in support of our Palestinian brothers and sisters every day, an issue Jordan has never compromised on, with ongoing and continuous directives from His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein and His Royal Highness Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah, the Crown Prince.
It explained that the passing of a year since the continuation of this operation and the arrival of the 25th group to date is a duty that Jordan believes in towards our brothers in the Gaza Strip after all the events it has witnessed over recent years, and that transporting these children was a Jordanian mission carried out by the heroes of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army through the national cell coordinating joint operations concerned with implementing the royal initiative to treat two thousand children from Gaza in the kingdom.
It confirmed that Jordan not only transferred sick children from the Gaza Strip but also moved their families, directly overseeing all medical procedures throughout the year to today and still continues its supportive approach to the Palestinian brothers, never hesitating to provide everything necessary to enhance their resilience and steadfastness in their land.
It pointed to the fact that the evacuation of children falls within larger efforts led by Jordan to relieve the Gaza Strip with everything it needs from food, shelter, clothing, health, and water, as it continues to provide medical services to areas of the sector through field hospitals managed by the heroes of the Jordanian Armed Forces from the Royal Medical Services, and provides bread through fixed and mobile bakeries in cooperation with partner entities and water and well drilling, all through the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization, which makes a unique and exceptional effort that carries the message and values of Jordan towards everyone in need wherever they reach.
In documenting the efforts of Jordan with sick children from Gaza over a year, the armed forces transferred three batches of sick children during the month of February, including the twenty-third batch with 18 children and 38 of their relatives, the twenty-fourth batch with 18 children and 33 of their relatives, and the twenty-fifth batch with 29 children accompanied by 42 of their relatives, within the "Jordanian Medical Corridor" initiative implemented under royal directives, and they are treated in several Jordanian hospitals, within the framework of ongoing medical and humanitarian efforts made by the kingdom to provide health care and medical support to our brothers in the Gaza Strip, and within medical and humanitarian coordination conducted according to the highest approved health standards.
In January, Jordan received 63 children accompanied by 108 of their relatives in three batches, including the first with 18 children and 36 companions, the second with 21 patients and 36 companions, and the third with 24 patients and 36 companions.
The Palestinian journalist and analyst in the Gaza Strip, Said Abu Rahma, said that this step reflects the firm humanitarian stance of Jordan towards the brethren in the Gaza Strip, an initiative that embodies the highest meanings of humanitarian solidarity amidst the tragic conditions experienced by the sector.
It added that this step was made under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who repeatedly affirmed that Jordan will remain a support and aid to the Palestinian brethren, especially during crises, and this decision reflects the continuing approach of Jordan based on supporting humanity first, far from any other considerations, where the humanitarian dimension precedes everything else.
It highlighted that the health situation in the Gaza Strip faces unprecedented challenges, due to the enormous pressure on hospitals and the lack of medical capabilities and medications. In these circumstances, transferring sick and injured children for treatment in Jordanian hospitals becomes a real opportunity for life, especially for critical cases that require advanced medical interventions and specialized care that may be difficult to provide within the sector.
It said that this initiative does not only stop at the medical side but also extends to include the social and humanitarian aspect, by allowing more than 1500 of the relatives of the children, which alleviates the hardship of alienation and provides necessary psychological support to the children during the treatment journey. The presence of the family alongside the child in such circumstances is not a luxury but an essential part of the recovery process.
It indicated that this humanitarian role is not new to Jordan, which has always been at the forefront of the countries supporting Gaza, whether through field hospitals or medical and relief convoys, and this move confirms that the Jordanian position is firm in supporting the resilience of the Palestinian people, and that the humanitarian duty remains a priority that does not change.
It confirmed that transferring children for treatment throughout the year represents a clear message that Arab solidarity is not merely a slogan, but a practical practice embodied in saving lives and caring for humans, and in times when scenes of pain proliferate, such initiatives remain a window of hope, re-affirming that humanity can prevail, and providing aid is the least that can be offered towards a people facing one of the harshest ordeals in its recent history.
