Khaberni - WhatsApp platform is currently developing a new feature that allows users to schedule messages in advance, similar to other instant messaging platforms that offer this feature, according to a report by the American tech site "WABeta Info".
A report from the American tech site "9to5Mac" indicates that the new feature is still under development and is not yet available for testing in beta or initial versions related to the platform.
The feature has so far appeared only in the platform's group pages, and the report does not mention whether this feature will extend to individual messages with users or will remain exclusive to groups only.
Scheduling messages is one of the oldest features existing in many instant messaging platforms including the famous "iMessage", and it is widely used according to the report.
This feature comes against the backdrop of a series of features and improvements that "Meta" has been adding to "WhatsApp" in recent months, including a feature that allows new group members to review the group's chat history, according to a report published by the American tech site "PC Magazine".
The group chat log review feature allows users to see messages sent in the group before they were added to it, without the need to forward the messages in detail to the user.
The platform allows group administrators to choose the number of messages a newly added person can see, ranging from 25 previous messages to 100 previous messages.
Recently, "WhatsApp" has been trying to develop and diversify its features as much as possible to compete in different sectors, after it moved beyond being just a quick instant messaging platform.
The company has introduced a number of features in recent months that facilitate the use of the platform for work groups as an alternative to dedicated work chat platforms such as "Slack", "Teams", and others.
Among these features were enhancing security options and enabling account login via password or a secure passkey and email, as well as allowing the choice of a username.
