The King on Iranian Affairs Jordan Will Not Allow Airspace Breach and Wont Be a Battlefield

Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed that dialogue and political solutions are the way to spare the region further escalation.

His Majesty the King stressed during his meeting on Tuesday with members of the Jordanian Press Association that Jordan will not allow its airspace to be breached and will not become a battlefield, noting that the security of the kingdom and the safety of its citizens are above all else.

In relation to the Palestinian issue, His Majesty confirmed the continuation of work with Arab siblings and international partners to protect the rights of Palestinians and to stop the Israeli actions aimed at changing the status quo in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

His Majesty the King pointed to the need to support Syria's efforts in maintaining its security, stability, and the sovereignty of its territories.

His Majesty King Abdullah II met on Tuesday at the Husseiniya Palace with members of the Jordanian Press Association, and a number of local and regional issues were discussed.

His Majesty the King emphasized the importance of the association's role in enhancing media professionalism, and the necessity for national interest to guide political and media discourse, especially amid the rapid events in the region and the world.

He spoke about the importance of moving forward in implementing major projects, attracting more investments, and improving services to enhance the lives of citizens and raise economic growth rates.

His Majesty the King pointed out that Jordan is leveraging its distinguished relations with friendly countries to attract investment and economic opportunities and to open new markets for Jordanian products, including in East Asian countries.

For their part, the head of the Press Association and members of the council appreciated His Majesty's efforts in defending Arab causes, especially the Palestinian issue, reaffirming the importance of Jordan's role in regional files and its effective presence in safeguarding national interests.

The attendees gave an overview of the association's procedures and efforts to develop journalistic work, organize professional affairs, and maintain professional standards.

They emphasized the importance of developing the Jordanian media's tools to keep pace with technological advancement, and they referred to the role of responsible media in spreading the truth, debunking rumors, and strengthening the Jordanian narrative.

The meeting was attended by the Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, Yousef Hassan Al Issawi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, and the Director of His Majesty the King’s Office, Engineer Alaa Batayneh.
