The Story of the Poors Doctor Welcomed by the King 36 Years of Symbolic Treatment for a Million Patients

Khaberni - Doctor Hamidan Ali Al-Ziyoud completed his medical studies at Istanbul University in Turkey about 40 years ago in 1984 and opened his own clinic in Al-Hashimiya district in Zarqa Governorate in 1989, which was a tool of aid for the sake of Allah, standing by the nation to alleviate the pain of patients for free or at a nominal fee.
His Majesty King Abdullah II recently received Dr. Al-Ziyoud in a meeting that included individuals with humanitarian and national initiatives that contributed to nation-building and enhanced the role and impact of individuals in serving the community, where His Majesty commended their efforts in promoting values of solidarity and social security.
During a visit to the doctor's clinic consisting of 3 rooms in the center of Al-Hashimiya town, the largest was for waiting patients, another as a storeroom, and an examination room measuring no more than 6 square meters, equipped with examination devices, a bed, and a waiting chair. As usual, the clinic was crowded with patients, receiving 80-90 daily, 80 percent of whom receive service for free, according to Petra.
The total number of patients visited Dr. Al-Ziyoud's clinic over 36 years is 782,340.
Dr. Al-Ziyoud says that his meeting with His Majesty the King was spontaneous, where His Majesty listened to the story of his work throughout these years. This meeting reflects His Majesty's interest in these works which enhance community cohesion, build the nation, and make solidarity a practical reality among people.
He added that he comes from a family blessed by Allah with a comfortable life, so the clinic was purely for the love of Allah and to help people with treatment, and to reduce the pressure on health centers. He mentioned that he had agreements with pharmaceutical companies and many people to obtain medications for those who cannot afford them. He also arranged with several hospitals and laboratories to reduce the prices of various radiographs and medical tests to nominal amounts to assist patients in their treatment journey.
He explained that he completed his high school education with an 82 percent average in the scientific stream, and he was passionate about medicine and law. He left for Istanbul in the eighties of the last century, joined the Faculty of Medicine, and upon returning, he chose Al-Hashimiya to be the location of his clinic which turned into a health center offering all its services symbolically and became known to all generations in Al-Hashimiya and the nearby areas.
Dr. Al-Ziyoud also supports orphans and several families with difficult social situations and sets aside a daily amount in his financial plan for savings to invest in aid during the holy month.
