Through its sponsorship of the event, held in the Sweimeh area at the Dead Sea, Orange Money highlighted its key role in enhancing digital financial inclusion by linking financial technology with sustainable development pathways, which is one of the main objectives of the forum and its training sessions focusing on empowering women, farmers, and small producers in the kingdom.
Orange Jordan emphasized the importance of the event in alignment with the national strategy for financial inclusion and the vision for economic modernization, and presented the solutions of Orange Money as a fundamental tool to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals in Jordan. In keeping with its commitment to making a positive impact on the community, the company underscored the necessity of financial inclusion, especially in remote, rural, and agricultural communities, to facilitate the management of financial resources and support the stability and development of enterprises in these areas.
The event brought together around 100 participants from the municipalities of Sweimeh, Deir Alla, Tabaqah Fahl, and Sharhabil bin Hassneh, including 65 women entrepreneurs, farmers, and community activists. Discussions centered on how to empower these women, farmers, and small producers in rural and agricultural communities through providing secure, responsible, and accessible digital payment solutions, which contribute to enhancing digital financial literacy and boosting their pivotal role in the Jordanian economy.
