Khaberni - Citizens have filed complaints about the theft of sewage manhole covers on the Amman Development Road connecting Amman and Zarqa, known as "Mia Road," which poses a direct danger to road users.
The citizens confirmed to "Khaberni" that the open manholes constitute a real threat to drivers, especially during nighttime hours, in the absence of any warning signs or alert mechanisms indicating the presence of an open manhole in the vehicle's path.
They urged the relevant authorities to take urgent action to address the problem, reinstall the stolen covers, and place temporary warning signs until maintenance work is completed, in order to preserve the safety of citizens and road users.
