Khaberni - The "New York Times" reported, citing sources, that the cryptocurrency trading platform "Binance" discovered financial transfers worth approximately $1.7 billion to Iran.
The newspaper wrote, "Last year, Iranians gained access to over 1500 accounts on the 'Binance' platform. Nearly $1.7 billion was transferred from two accounts on 'Binance' to Iranian organizations... which may constitute a violation of international sanctions."
It pointed out that the employees responsible for identifying violations on the platform informed the management of this information; however, as a result, four participants in the investigation were either suspended or dismissed due to their disclosure of confidential user data.
The newspaper quoted a spokeswoman for "Binance," Rachel Conlan, saying that the company found no evidence of sanctions violations in the concerned transactions.
