Khaberni - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman emphasized on Monday the necessity for all parties to adhere to the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, implement U.S. President Donald Trump's peace plan, and increase the flow of humanitarian aid to the sector without obstacles, alongside the speedy initiation of early recovery and reconstruction process.
The leaders stressed their rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land, confirming that the solution lies in launching a comprehensive political process that leads to the implementation of the two-state solution, according to "Cairo News".
This came during a meeting of the leaders in Jeddah, as part of Sisi's visit to Saudi Arabia.
The spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, said that the meeting addressed a number of regional and international files of mutual interest, where the importance of avoiding escalation and tension in the region, supporting peaceful solutions to crises through dialogue, and enhancing Arab solidarity to face challenges was emphasized.
The leaders also stressed respecting the sovereignty of states and the integrity and safety of their territories, and not interfering in their internal affairs, and agreed to continue and boost the political consultation and coordination between the two sides to maintain regional stability.
