Khaberni - Extended investigations revealed the details of a horrific crime that shook the Karak governorate seven months ago, which claimed the life of a twenty-something young man at the hands of his friend who planned a treacherous murder due to previous disputes between them.
The story began when the accused moved from his family home to live with his friend in a rented apartment where the accused requested to buy a firearm, but the victim mocked him with provocative remarks that the accused considered an insult.
The accused felt that his friend was undermining his value and mocking his dignity despite his seriousness in requesting the weapon, and at the same time, he suspected that the victim wanted to assault him, igniting a fire of hatred and a desire for revenge.
The accused left Jordan and went to work in Saudi Arabia and stayed there for more than a year, but he did not forget the incident and kept thinking about how to eliminate his friend who hurled very hurtful and offensive words at him.
The accused returned to Jordan in August 2025 with a firm belief in murder, where he rented a Hyundai Sonata car in burgundy and bought a 9mm pistol.
The accused decided to carry out his crime on Wednesday, 6-8-2025, and tried to lure the victim to come to Amman, but the latter refused and asked him to wait for him in the Al-Dawar area inside their village in Karak governorate.
The killer set off in his vehicle in the evening after removing the number plates and consuming alcoholic beverages and Captagon pills to enhance his crimes and arrived at the meeting place where the victim, his brother, and another person were waiting for him.
The victim's brother tried to catch up with the killer to prevent him from escaping, but the accused fired towards him without hitting him and fled back towards the road to Amman, coinciding with an urgent security alert to all patrols.
The security forces made tremendous efforts and established a tight checkpoint after the airport bridge in the Al-Amiriyah area, and when the accused arrived, he brandished his weapon and fired at the public security patrol in a desperate attempt.
The accused's vehicle swerved during the chase and took a side road, which led to it overturning and him getting out injured, where he was immediately arrested and the weapon used in the crime was seized and transferred to the competent judicial authorities.
The forensic report revealed that the victim suffered seven bullets in the chest, abdomen, and right leg, which caused severe blood bleeding from the left lung and spleen, leading to his death moments before arriving at the hospital.
The public prosecution charged the accused with seven heavy criminal charges, notably premeditated murder with premeditation and stalking, complete attempt at murder, and the misdemeanor of carrying an unlicensed firearm and firing bullets.
The indictment also included resisting public security officers, disturbing public peace, and possessing narcotics, where the first panel in the Grand Criminal Court is currently considering the case to issue a deterrent judgment against him.
