Meet the Owners and Founders of Initiatives Met by the King

Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II met today, Monday, at the Husseinieh Palace with owners of national humanitarian initiatives.

The attendees included Dr. Hamidan Al-Ziyoud, and founders of various initiatives such as Garage Sale, the Love Imprint Charity Association, the Kingdom’s Sons Corporation, My Support Restaurant, the Tafila Heritage Charity Association, the Rotate it with Good Project, the Giving Order Charity Association, the Rain project, and the Tarabot initiative.

Following is an introduction to the owners of these initiatives:

 

Tarabot Initiative / Suleiman Al-Akayleh

A social initiative aimed at providing free support to needy groups in the community by developing their skills and enhancing their readiness for the job market, in addition to providing scholarships to help beneficiaries complete their education or acquire additional qualifications.

 

Dr. Hamidan Al-Ziyoud

Known as the heart doctor and the healer of the poor, he practices in his clinic in Zarqa, which he frequents from Mafraq Province. Dr. Al-Ziyoud is known for providing free or nominal cost treatment to the needy.

 

Giving Order Charity Association / Sanaa Al-Daamseh

The association aims to care for children with disabilities and integrate them into society, rehabilitate the youth among them for the job market, and also work on rehabilitating and training women, empowering them economically and socially, and providing both in-kind and cash aids to orphans, the needy, and the elderly.

 

Rain Project / Nour Al-Ajlouni

A youth initiative to help the blind with education, by recording books audibly or converting them to readable texts via screen reader, and facilitating guides for visually impaired people in universities and public places, offering them equal educational and cultural opportunities.

 

Tafila Heritage Charity Association / Fatima Abu Mahfouz

A non-profit organization aimed at supporting the local community through humanitarian and developmental projects, enhancing volunteerism, and offering assistance to the needy, in addition to conducting training workshops and community activities.

 

Garage Sale / Abdulhameed Abzakh

This initiative relies on collecting various used household items, sorting, maintaining, and preparing them for sale, with all proceeds fully supporting educational and charitable projects initiated by the local club.

Number of volunteers: 355 young men and women.

Number of beneficiaries: 523 students.

 

Rotate it with Good Project / Mohammed Abu Salem

A community entrepreneurship project specialized in collecting used furniture, maintaining it, and providing it to needy families with a network of partners. The project has provided several job opportunities through training and rehabilitation of youth, women, and people with disabilities.

 

Love Imprint / Margarita Shawah

A charity based in Jerash Governorate, aiming to uplift and develop the local community by providing healthcare, in-kind aid, and implementing voluntary activities to serve the community.

 

My Support / Mahmoud Al-Nablusi

The first non-profit, charity restaurant in Jordan offering healthy meals to the needy, based on the principle of "host and guest," where the guest can eat at no material cost. It aims to promote values of giving and social solidarity.

 

Jordanian Charitable Drug Bank / Ashraf Kailani

A joint initiative with the Jordanian Pharmacists' Association organizing free medical days in remote areas, providing treatments for the needy, and organizing visits to humanitarian and charity institutions concerned with orphans and the elderly. About 11,000 people have benefited from the initiative.
