Khaberni - His Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, chaired on Monday a periodic meeting of the National Council for Future Technology, during which His Highness directed the council to develop the research and innovation ecosystem in Jordan.
During the meeting, which was held at Al Husseiniya Palace, His Highness the Crown Prince emphasized the importance of setting priorities for scientific research, and utilizing the capabilities and institutions of Jordanian science to boost investments in this important field.
His Highness also pointed out the necessity for the updated services of the 'Sanad' app to represent a qualitative leap that facilitates the use of the application.
His Highness the Crown Prince also emphasized the urgency of working on creating the right environment to make the Kingdom a hub for innovation and leadership in the field of technology.
His Highness, during the meeting, listened to a briefing on the progress of the council’s projects, and the digital developments recently introduced in judicial procedures, particularly the digital signature project.
The meeting was attended by Her Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, Chairwoman of the Royal Scientific Society and President of the Board of Trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology, Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, President of the National Council for Future Technology, council members, and Dr. Zaid Al-Baqa’in, the Office Manager of His Highness the Crown Prince.
