Khaberni - The artist Yasser Galal, in a phone call with media personnel Mahmoud El-Said and Aya Abdel Rahman, presenters of the "Studio Extra" program on the "Extra News" channel, responded to the criticisms he recently faced after his appearance in the Ramadan drama race with the series "Everyone Loves Modi", following his appointment as a member of the Senate.
Yasser Galal expressed his happiness with the reactions to his new series "Everyone Loves Modi", confirming that his move to a different drama genre represents an integral part of his artistic philosophy.
He said that he is originally an actor, and that the art of performance becomes genuine when an actor can transition from one character to another, no matter how different, with utmost smoothness, considering that this transition showcases the actor's capabilities and poses a true challenge to him.
He added that all his roles from "The President's Shadow" to "Everyone Loves Modi" were different, but the new work has a light comedic touch, which is something he had been looking for a while.
Yasser Galal pointed out that he does not rely on verbal punchlines, but believes in situational comedy that arises from placing the character in contradictory contexts that naturally produce laughter through reactions, indicating his influence by this type of work.
Yasser Galal reveals what attracted him to "Everyone Loves Modi"
Yasser Galal mentioned that what attracted him to "Everyone Loves Modi" was its clear and tight dramatic structure, where the events start by presenting the protagonist in a financial crisis, then escalate gradually to find out how he will act, who are those around him, what kind of advice he receives, and where his decisions will lead him.
He emphasized that the work does not rely on separate scenes or sketches for laughter, but provides a complete story that makes the viewer eagerly wait for the next episode.
Yasser Galal stressed that he always bets on drama in the first place, whether it is tragic or comedic, and that diversity in roles is not just a matter of courage, but is part of his conviction of the necessity to diversify artistic experiences to amaze the audience and prove the actor's ability to present different and varied characters with sincerity and transparency.
