AlQadi Statements by the US Ambassador in the Occupying State are Unacceptable

Khaberni - On Monday, the corridors of the Jordanian House of Representatives witnessed a firm political stance led by the Speaker of the House, Mazen Al-Qadi, who sharply criticized the recent statements made by the American ambassador to the occupying state, considering them to undermine peace and incite the illegitimate control over Arab lands.

Destruction of International Law Principles
In his opening remarks, Al-Qadi condemned the American diplomatic discourse, and emphasized the following key points:

Provocative Speech: Described the statements as "delusions" that legitimize the occupation and constitute a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and a serious infringement on state sovereignty.
The Palestinian Right: He emphasized that the West Bank and Gaza Strip are Palestinian territories, and that the occupation has no sovereignty over them, rejecting any narratives that rely on religious stories to justify the seizure of land.
Responsibility of a "Major State" and Threat to Stability
Al-Qadi expressed the Council's regret that such discourse came from an official representing a country that heads the "Council of Peace", considering it places the United States in a position that fuels extremism and conflict in the region instead of containing them.

He also called on the international community to play its role in preventing the legitimization of occupation or imposing a fait accompli.

Jordan.. a steadfast fortress behind the leadership
In a strong domestic message, Al-Qadi renewed the deputies' united front behind His Majesty King Abdullah II in defending the supreme interests of the Kingdom.

He affirmed that the nation will remain resistant to aspirations, based on:

The will of the leadership and the awareness of the people: which together form a strong fortress of sovereignty.
The heroics of the Arab Army: which has written with its blood pages of dignity, keeping Jordan a steadfast defender of the rights of Palestinian brethren to freedom and independence.
Al-Qadi concluded his speech by affirming that this nation is unbreakable, and that its positions on the issues of the nation are firm and non-negotiable, until the Palestinian people attain all their rights on their national soil.
