Khaberni - Alexis Mac Allister expressed his satisfaction with his team Liverpool's hard-fought victory over Nottingham Forest, saying he expected to score the only goal of the match, especially after the goal he scored in the 90th minute was disallowed.
Liverpool continued its revival in the English Premier League, securing its second consecutive win in the competition, after a tough 1-0 victory against host Nottingham Forest on Sunday, during the 27th round of matches.
Interestingly, Mac Allister's goal came just minutes after a goal was disallowed following a Video Assistant Referee review that confirmed his elbow had touched the ball while scoring.
Mac Allister said in an interview with (Sky Sports): "Honestly, I have mixed feelings. I love scoring goals, and I love winning. But I don’t think we played well. Winning is always a great feeling, though."
Regarding the goal that was disallowed after the ball hit his elbow just minutes before he scored the match's only goal, the Argentine player said, "True, but I feel the decision was a bit harsh. There are some reservations, but I understand the rules."
Mac Allister continued: "I thought I would score another goal. I told Hugo Ekitike that this would be our goal. I am happy that I managed to shake the net. We need to analyze our strengths and weaknesses. We weren't fully focused, but we did our best to win."
