Khaberni - During its field tours in the markets, the Health Department of the Greater Madaba Municipality detected 30 violations including non-compliant food items, encroachments on sidewalks, and vendor stalls.
Haitham Jouinat, head of the Greater Madaba Municipal Committee, said that the municipality's surveillance campaigns, conducted in cooperation with the General Safety Committee in the province, focus on food items consumed during Ramadan, such as Ramadan juices, qatayef, nuts, cheese, fish, meat, and poultry to ensure healthy food for the citizens.
He added that the municipality has intensified the work of its machinery to remove waste through 3 shifts daily, removing 300 tons per day, and maintaining the maintenance teams for lighting and Ramadan decorations sustainability.
He also mentioned that the municipality will implement several Ramadan activities, foremost among which are hosting a Ramadan breakfast for orphans, another for municipal workers, and organizing cultural evenings focusing on the cultural matters in Madaba.
