Khaberni - The emergency department director at Al-Bashir Hospital, Dr. Hossam Al-Marazeq, said that the companions of a patient assaulted an emergency department doctor a few days ago; because they refused to wait for the test results of their patient, and the attending doctor was busy examining and treating another case.
Al-Marazeq added during his talk on Hayat FM that the incident occurred during a peak time, after the treating doctor had drawn blood samples from the patient to complete the procedures and appropriate diagnosis for the case. However, the patient's companions continued to press the doctor and hasten him while he was busy with other patients. When he informed them that they needed to wait for the test results, they assaulted him physically.
He mentioned that the security forces intervened directly at the moment of the assault, confirming that the management of Al-Bashir Hospitals has filed an official complaint with the governor of the capital and the General Directorate of Security, considering what happened as an assault on a public employee during the performance of his duty.
