Jordan Rural Decile Supplies 131 Houses and Locations with Electricity for 652000 Dinars

Khaberni - The Supreme Steering Committee for the Rural Decile, in a meeting chaired by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, approved the lists of houses and sites benefiting from the electricity connection for the past January, covering 131 houses and sites at a total cost of 652,000 dinars.
Dr. Al-Kharabsheh stated in a press statement that the committee approved a set of projects and sites that will be connected to the electricity on the Rural Decile's account, including residential clusters and economic activities, following the expansion of the service based on amendments to the electricity connection principles.
The Director of the Electricity and Rural Electrification Department in the ministry, Engineer Hisham Al-Momani, presented details of the decisions, noting that they included residential clusters consisting of five houses outside the urban organization boundaries at a cost of 142,000 dinars, and clusters of three houses with a minimum cost of 51,000 dinars, in addition to individual houses outside the organization benefiting from existing networks at a cost of 41,000 dinars.
According to Al-Momani, the lists included a segment of homes for modest families within the urban organization boundaries in the concession areas of the electricity companies at a cost of 4,000 dinars, supporting those with limited income.
In the context of supporting animal and agricultural production, the support included poultry, cow, sheep, and fish farms in poverty pockets outside the organization with a cost of 35,000 dinars, and farms containing artesian wells at a cost of 36,000 dinars, contributing to enhancing food security and self-reliance.
Additionally, the Rural Decile contributed 292,000 dinars to support productive, industrial, and investment projects in poverty pockets and outside the organization, provided that job opportunities are created for Jordanians from the project area.
The approved categories included lighting roads leading to cemeteries at a cost of 6,000 dinars to facilitate access for citizens at night, and connecting electricity to projects belonging to government sectors, agricultural cooperative societies, and charitable organizations at a cost of 39,000 dinars.
In the field of alternative energy, the committee agreed to install grid-connected solar cell systems for 6 houses for modest families and beneficiaries from the National Aid Fund, aiming to reduce their monthly energy bills and improve their economic status.
