Khaberni - Manchester City, the runner-up, has reduced the gap with the leader Arsenal, in the Premier League, by defeating their guest Newcastle United (2-1), on Saturday evening at the Etihad Stadium.
The two City goals in the match were scored by their young English player, Nico O'Reilly, in the 14th and 27th minutes.

The first goal was facilitated by the Egyptian international star, Omar Marmoush, while the Norwegian striker, Erling Haaland, sent a cross that led to the second goal, a header by O'Reilly.
As for the visitors' only goal, it came through Luis Hall, in the 22nd minute of the match.
The score remained the same in the second half, despite the intense attempts by both sides, especially in the final minutes of the match, which featured great excitement.

With this victory, the Sky Blue team raised their points to 56, in second place just two points behind Arsenal, the leader, while Newcastle’s total froze at 36 points, in the tenth position in the Premier League standings.
