Khaberni - Jordan condemned, on Saturday, the statements made by the United States Ambassador to Israel, in which he stated that it would be acceptable for Israel to control the entire Middle East, in addition to the West Bank.
The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ambassador Fuad Al-Majali, rejected these frivolous and provocative statements, which represent a violation of diplomatic norms, an infringement on the sovereignty of the region's countries, and a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, and contradict the position of US President Donald Trump publicly declared in rejecting the annexation of the occupied West Bank.
He affirmed that the West Bank, including East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, is occupied Palestinian territory according to international law, and that ending the occupation and embodying an independent Palestinian state on all the occupied Palestinian territory based on the two-state solution according to international law is the only way to achieve just and comprehensive peace.
He emphasized the importance of combining all efforts to stabilize Gaza and implement the American president’s plan and Security Council Resolution 2803 instead of issuing irresponsible, inflammatory frivolous statements that have no legal value or effect.
