Khaberni - The Ramadan prank program presented by Egyptian artist Ramez Jalal continues to stir controversy due to what some considered verbal or physical harassment of his female artist guests, "When will we know the difference between being liberated and disrespectful?"
The program's first episode yesterday, which featured the artist Asmaa Jalal, sparked widespread controversy due to the artist's language during outbursts caused by the pranks, in addition to Ramez Jalal's words while introducing and speaking to the guest. Today's episode featured a new female artist.
In the introduction, Ramez Jalal said: "You knew how to reach fame the easiest way.. by taking pictures in the gym.. but honestly, the body is flawless.. instead of working on artistic skills, you worked on gaining weight and developing the rear muscles..."
The introduction was part of the scenes that caused controversy, and one commenter said: "Just imagine that after breaking your fast, you and your family and kids are watching and listening to this content! When will we realize that there's a difference between being liberated and disrespectful?", as he put it.
Meanwhile, Egyptian media figure Youssef El Husseiny expressed his astonishment at the words used in the program, saying: "What's funny about Ramez Jalal talking about the details of his female guest's body with indecent phrases, or mocking another guest's body!! Or in the utmost racism, mocking Asians and others?"
He continued: "They accept it because he pays them a lot of money, but practically, the audience is watching a depraved style of programs, and there is a generation that thinks this is laughter and comedy."
