Khaberni- The United States Ambassador to Tel Aviv, Mike Huckabee said that Israel has a religious right to control most of the Middle East.
During an interview in Tel Aviv, the American journalist Tucker Carlson asked the ambassador about the concept of "Greater Israel," referring to Genesis 15, which describes God's dialogue with Abraham about the gift of land "from the Nile to the Euphrates," and the journalist inquired if Huckabee agrees with the idea that Israel has the right to lands that include current Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, as well as parts of Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
The ambassador added in the interview with Carlson: "It would be nice if they (Israel) took everything (the entire Middle East)."
In recent months, Carlson has notably intensified his criticisms of Israel and US foreign policy in the Middle East, describing the unconditional support for Israel as a "mental virus." He also accused Washington authorities of protecting foreign borders and ignoring the interests of Christians in the region.
Last Wednesday, Carlson spoke about being detained by Israeli authorities for interrogation after recording an interview with the US Ambassador Mike Huckabee in Tel Aviv.
Carlson told the British newspaper "Daily Mail" that Israeli officials confiscated his passport at Ben Gurion Airport shortly after the interview, and led him along with his companions to an interrogation room.
However, Israeli aviation authorities stated that Carlson was not detained when leaving Ben Gurion Airport.
The Israeli authorities mentioned that they asked Carlson several standard (routine) questions as part of the existing security procedures.
