Khaberni - Neurologist Pavel Frolov reported that symptoms such as memory loss, numbness in the limbs, movement problems, and deteriorating vision might point to existing problems in the nervous system that require a doctor's consultation.
According to him, a neurologist diagnoses the cause and treats diseases related to the nervous system and cognitive functions. Therefore, it is advisable to consult a doctor if there are any problems with memory, concentration, or facial recognition, as well as any motor or sensory disorders.
He says: "The neurologist is responsible for the nerves and cognitive abilities. If a person starts experiencing problems with memory, calculation, object recognition, or if there are motor disorders in the arms or legs, numbness, or increased sensitivity, this is a valid reason to consult a doctor. Vision problems, hearing, or swallowing issues are also within this context, as cranial nerves control them."
He adds as a warning: "It is easier to prevent or treat a disease in its early stages before it becomes chronic. If the patient waits until the last moment, when he is unable to lift his arm or his leg doesn’t function properly, the consequences might be severe and irreversible. He may lose his ability to work, his comfort, and skills that will never be recovered."
