Khaberni - The number of employees in the tourism sector in Jordan reached 60,068, according to data from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities as of December 2025.
The data reviewed by "Al-Mamlaka" shows that there was an increase in the number of workers in the sector compared between 2024 and 2025 by 6.7%.
The number of employees in 2024 was about 56,321, while in 2025 the number increased to 60,068, an increase of 3,747 employees.
According to the data, employees in tourist restaurants and hotels constitute the majority of the total employment, at 40% and 38% respectively.
The number of employees in tourist restaurants was 24,020, while in hotels it was 22,943 out of a total of 60,068 employees.
Regarding the ratio of males to females from the total employment in the tourism sector, the data shows that males make up the larger number at 51,562, while the number of females is 8,506.
The data also indicated that the number of employees in the tourism sector is distributed across 3,809 establishments, including restaurants, hotels, travel agencies, car rentals, and others.
