Khaberni - American President Donald Trump said on Friday that he expects a significant reduction in interest rates, during statements where he referred to a new chairman for the Federal Reserve (the American central bank).
He added in a press conference, "We have a completely incompetent Federal Reserve Chairman who favors high interest rates for political reasons, but we will have a very good person, and interest rates should drop significantly."
Last month, Trump announced his intention to nominate Kevin Warsh to succeed Jerome Powell when his term as chairman of the Federal Reserve ends in May.
