Khaberni - Egyptian actress Lekaa Elkhmisi talked about the details of the crisis she went through with her husband, former football player Mohamed Abdel Monsef, after another artist unexpectedly revealed her marital relationship with him lasting 7 years.
Elkhmisi said in a TV interview on the program "Secrets," that if she had given in to negative thoughts, she would have reacted violently towards the woman who caused the crisis, considering her interference in the lives of others and trying to destroy an established home as "a mental illness," as she described it.
She revealed that initially she heard rumors about her husband's association with another woman but did not believe them until she was surprised by the news spreading on social media, considering the way it was announced was intended to send her a message and push her towards divorce.
She added that her husband confessed and apologized saying to her, "You are the mother of my children and my life partner and I love you," which helped her to stay strong despite her psychological recovery struggles.
She considered that the real problem lies in the other party, emphasizing that it does not concern her and does not occupy her thoughts.
Elkhmisi confirmed that she had never doubted her husband during the 7 years of the crisis, explaining that he never spent a night out and did not exhibit any suspicious behavior but was, according to her description, "caring, kind and did no wrong."
She explained that their marriage, which lasted 21 years, suffered no negligence on his part, making the idea of suspicion unthinkable for her.
She confirmed that she knew about the matter from a previous confession before the news was officially circulated, indicating that its abrupt publication increased the difficulty of the situation and the severity of the crisis she went through.
