In Education Is Anyone Listening
Author: د. ذوقان عبيدات

Perhaps no local system has been subject to analysis, study, and opinion delivery
as the Jordanian education system has:
there is the seventh Royal Paper, and there are the Royal Commissioning Speeches, and the responses to them, and there are responses from the Houses of Representatives and Senators to the Royal Opening Speeches! In addition to what educators like Hosni Ayesh,
Masa Dalqamouni,   Mahmoud Al-Massad, Faisal Tayeh, and today, what was written by Abdullah Al-Zoubi, the former president of Al-Balqa Applied University.

 The General Fluidity!
Some believe that we are in a state of educational fluidity; this fluidity is the opposite of educational solidity. Solidity in psychology is a state of mental, physical, and emotional health that is balanced, capable of functioning under stress and tension, and practices coping mechanisms, not just coexisting with the situation. It involves using modern life skills, not retreating, taking initiative, and producing knowledge... etc.
There is fluidity in all our systems: executive, judicial, legislative. There are economic, social, administrative, educational, health fluidities, and fluidity in every field. Life operates according to the theory of tubes, where fluidity spreads equally in every tube, no matter its size or length. We suffer from a general fluidity!!

Educational Fluidity
Educational fluidity manifests in several aspects and phenomena:
-When the educational vision is absent, all decisions and solutions become equal.
-When performance and achievement are confused; this is fluidity!
-When we see wide educational gaps that may span up to a quarter of the educational years! This is fluidity.
-When we practice passing issues along rather than holding accountable. This is fluidity!
-When you find educational leaders outside the education councils, and those unrelated inside these councils! This is fluidity.
-When the Ministry of Education and universities exchange blames for the weakness of education! This is fluidity!
-When education, syllabi, teaching, and examinations are condensed into a single hand! This is fluidity.
-When the entire curriculum is entrusted to those without visions! This is fluidity!
-When silence and hypocrisy prevail to maintain livelihoods! This is fluidity!
And there are other cascades of fluidity!

Masa Dalqamouni
The expert Masa Dalqamouni presented an educational philosophy,  published in Al-Ghad newspaper in 2025, raising several questions titled: What if?
What if we developed modern curricula? What if we got rid of bad exams? What if we abandoned traditional roles... etc!
She presented educational projects intended to advance education!
Hosni Ayesh raised significant questions
about: a general exam, or deceiving the public?  Hosni Ayesh did not leave any educational aspect, especially curricula and teaching, without placing dozens of questions.
Masa Dalqamouni was asked: Has anyone tried to understand by contacting you? She said: No!

           (4)
Abdullah Sorour, they won’t contact you either!

The president of Al-Balqa Applied University surprised me with an educational solidity I had not seen from any university professor. He published a very important article in Al-Ghad newspaper on Wednesday, February 18, titled:
Educational Fluidity: The Crisis We Smile at! He analyzed many aspects of educational fluidity: in our students' results in international tests, in treating symptoms rather than causes, in normalizing errors instead of correcting them, in the absence of accountability in favor of pushing things along, in counting school buildings as achievements instead of developing education, in the lack of educational concern for the future. We, according to Al-Zoubi, still manage gaps by passing them along!
And we address the drifts created by university fluidities with applause, or silence! And we postpone crises instead of solving them; all this means that we are turning our backs to the future and do not believe in the role of education in building and planning for it!

Please forgive me, Hosni Ayesh, Faisal Tayeh, Mahmoud Al-Massad, and others
whom I have not written about!
Maybe that will happen soon!
Hopefully, we find someone to listen to them and us!
Did you understand me?!!
