Khaberni - Social media platforms have been buzzing, during the past few hours, with photos and video clips of the Egyptian actress Abla Kamel who has returned to the limelight, after an absence that lasted 8 years.
She topped the trend
The actress participated in a massive advertising campaign for one of the Egyptian telecommunications companies and topped the trend just hours after the advertisement was released.
Kamel also appeared in the advertisement for just a few seconds, in only one scene where she is receiving the actresses Yasmine Abdel Aziz and Menna Shalabi, who visited her at her home to check on her.
The advertisement concluded with a brief voiceover by Abla Kamel.
Kamel's appearance came after several attempts by some directors and producers who were unable to convince her to return to the limelight; however, she finally agreed to appear through the commercial ad, especially since it is shown on various satellite channels throughout the month of Ramadan.
It is noteworthy that the actress Abla Kamel had emerged from her isolation since her decision to step back from the artistic scene, announcing her health condition last December, through a voice comment after a long absence following reports at the time about her being admitted to the hospital, on the backdrop of a presidential decision for her treatment at the expense of the state.
In the voice message she sent to the program of the Egyptian media personality Lamis Elhadidy on "Al Nahar" channel, Kamel confirmed that she is in good health, after a period of undergoing several recent surgeries, clarifying that she is receiving treatment at her own expense, and not in need of financial support.
In her message, she referred to the decision to include her name in the list of artists covered by the presidential decision regarding treatment at the expense of the state.
The last appearance of the Egyptian actress was in her TV series "Salasel Al Dam - Part 5," which was aired in 2018.
As for cinema, her last work was "El Feel El Azraq," starring Amr Saad in 2010.
