Khaberni - German Jürgen Klopp, the former manager of Liverpool FC, has been making sports headlines again, after it was revealed that he refused tempting offers to coach the English football giants, Manchester United and Chelsea, preferring to stay away from the club coaching frenzy at the moment.
According to "Talk Sport", Klopp's agent, Mark Kosicke, revealed that the German coach had no desire to return to the exhausting daily coaching after he left "the Reds" in 2024, despite serious attempts from "the Red Devils" and "the Blues".
Analysts Jeff Stelling and Ally McCoist believe that Klopp, who is currently serving as the Global Football President at "Red Bull", will only return to the fields through the "national teams" gateway.
"Talk Sport" analysts also noted that the only two positions that might tempt Klopp to return to the technical bench are:
The German national team: where many see him as the natural successor to Julian Nagelsmann, especially if “Die Mannschaft” faces challenges in the upcoming competitions.
The English national team: despite Thomas Tuchel's contract extension until "Euro 2028", Klopp remains the "dream choice" for the English FA in case of any future changes.
Why does Klopp prefer "international work"?
Experts believe that Klopp, who is 58 years old, might find in coaching national teams a balance between his passion for football and his personal life, away from the weekly match pressures and ongoing transfer markets.
Klopp had previously admitted that he had rejected an offer to coach Germany before Nagelsmann was appointed, committed as he was to his contract with Liverpool at the time, saying: "I did not want to leave 'the Reds' in that manner, there was a strong relationship with the people there."
