Syrian Civil Defense mobilizes specialized teams to rescue a child trapped in a well in Raqqa

Khaberni - A specialized team from the Syrian Civil Defense arrived from Jisr al-Shughur in Idlib province to the scene near the city of Al-Thawra in Raqqa province, to participate in a rescue operation for a child who fell inside an artesian well.

The team includes a member with experience in well rescue operations, distinguished by his small body size that helps him descend into the narrow well, which has a depth of about 30 meters and a diameter of only 35 centimeters, posing a significant challenge for the rescue teams.

Currently, attempts are being made to lower this member into the well despite the extreme difficulties caused by its narrow diameter.  Another support team had earlier arrived from Aleppo province, comprising rescue personnel trained and equipped with advanced specialized equipment, including drilling tools and field cameras to support the operation.

The teams working at the site continue to provide the child with oxygen continuously, while maintaining direct communication with him to ensure his condition, in parallel with conducting side drilling operations to reach him as quickly and safely as possible.
