Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Criminal Court, presided by counselor Ahmed Al-Sadi and secretary Ibrahim Al-Farsi, sentenced the fashionista Dr. Khulood and her husband Amin Al-Ghabashi to two years for charges of drug use and bringing mind-altering substances through Kuwait International Airport, and a fine of 2000 Dinars, with a suspension of executing the penalty for 3 years under a bail of 1000 Dinars for good conduct and behavior, and acquitted them of not disclosing an amount of $26,705 at the airport.
The accused denied the charges against them, stating that the drugs found with them upon their return from abroad by an inspector at Kuwait Customs Airport were for treatment and that it was a medical prescription dispensed for their nerve treatment, while the seized money was profits from a "casino" abroad, according to Al-Rai newspaper in Kuwait.
