Khaled El Sawy clarified that his talk about wanting to portray Khalid Ibn Al-Walid was transmitted in a fragmented way, pointing out that he was asked about the companion he wished to portray.
Khaled El Sawy mentioned that his answer was clear, especially as this topic is complex and sensitive, confirming that it is impossible to portray this character without ensuring approval from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Dar Al Ifta.
Khaled El Sawy added that the character of Khalid Ibn Al-Walid had indeed been depicted in Egyptian cinema in a film by the artist Hussein Sedki, saying, "It was done in Egypt and approved, I am not innovating anything."

Khaled El Sawy was not the first to express a desire to portray Khalid Ibn Al-Walid, as the artist Ahmed El Sakka recently stirred a debate after speaking of the same desire, explaining that it is not only about its historical value but also the resemblance in physical features and the image circulated about him in books and drawings.
