Khaberni - Al-Hussein Irbid, the representative of Jordanian football, achieved a historic milestone by qualifying for the quarterfinals of the Asian Champions League 2, after defeating their counterpart Esteghlal Tehran with a score of 3-2 in the return match held on Tuesday evening at the Amman International Stadium, within the round of sixteen.
Al-Hussein had won the first leg in Dubai with a score of 1-0, thus securing qualification with a total score of 4-2, amid a strong performance and fighting spirit from the players who turned around their two-time deficit with goals from Yasser Asani (9th and 49th minute) to a win with goals by Ali Al-Hijbi (39th minute), Yousef Abu Al-Ghazr (75th minute) and Obaida Al-Namarna in the 95th+5 minute.
