Important for Jordanians in the UAE Dubai government sets working hours during Ramadan

Khaberni - The Dubai Human Resources Department has announced the official working hours in government entities in the emirate during the holy month of Ramadan for the year 1447 AH, in a step that reflects the Dubai government's commitment to enhancing the quality of life and establishing a balance between work requirements and family life, coinciding with (Year of the Family).
In accordance with the circular, working hours will be from Monday to Thursday from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, while on Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, allowing employees more time to spend with their families and participate in the Ramadan and social atmosphere.
The decision also allows government entities to implement a flexible working schedule during the morning attendance period, enabling employees to start work between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM while completing the official working hours, in addition to the possibility of implementing a remote working system for employees whose job nature allows it, equivalent to two days per week for each employee, which contributes to family stability and enhances community cohesion during the holy month.
The department confirmed that these measures reflect the Dubai government's approach in adopting flexible working policies that consider the needs of employees and their families, and support their psychological and social well-being, which positively reflects on productivity, job satisfaction, and sustainable institutional performance.
The department also pointed out the need for government entities to specify working hours for employees working in shifts or whose jobs are related to public service or managing public service facilities, in accordance with their operational requirements and ensuring the continuity of providing services with high efficiency.
