Khaberni - Media reports revealed that a prisoner in Chile, who claims to have killed his cellmate, shocked the public with his horrifying confession.
Manuel Ignacio Fuentes, 21 years old, imprisoned for aggravated robbery, shared a cell with Felipe Sepulveda, 26 years old, when a fight broke out between them in early February inside La Serena prison.
According to the newspaper "Diario El Dia", the incident was first detected at 9 a.m. on February 8th after a wireless alert was received about an incident inside the cell.
Horrifying confessions
Official sources reported that Fuentes stated the fight was in self-defense, saying: "Late at night, this prisoner attacked me with a knife. I was also carrying a knife, so I attacked him first before he could attack me, and I avoided the stab. I stabbed him in the neck; he started convulsing. Then I checked his vital signs and realized he had died. I will just say that it was in self-defense."
But the biggest shock was his horrifying confession about the actions after the fight: "I began to panic about what I had done, so I started eating parts of his body. I took out one of his eyes and ate it, as well as a piece of his hand and neck. Later, I ate one of his ears. Afterwards, I covered him and slept next to him."
Fuentes' father spoke about his son, saying he needs psychiatric treatment, and added: "He needed medication, and he needed to see a specialist because he has a diagnosed and documented psychological neurological problem."
Fuentes was first arrested in 2022 for armed robbery, before escaping from prison in 2023, and then being re-arrested the same year. Reports indicate that he was presented as the prime suspect in the murder of his cellmate Sepulveda during the fight.
When Fuentes was found, one of his hands, one of his eyes, and an ear were missing, and bite marks were visible on his neck.
