Khaberni - The Libyan Fatwa House announced on Tuesday evening that Wednesday is the completion day of the month of Sha'ban for the year 1447 Hijri, and as such, Thursday, corresponding to the nineteenth of February 2026, is the first day of the blessed month of Ramadan in Libya.
This announcement came after the crescent moon sighting of the holy month was not possible by the monitoring and investigation committees, thereby aligning the date with several Arab and Islamic nations.
The Fatwa House extended its congratulations to the Libyan people and the Islamic nation on this great occasion, praying to Allah for peace and security throughout the country.
