Omani Foreign Minister Affirms Good Progress in TehranWashington Talks

Khaberni - Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi confirmed achieving "good progress" in the second round of talks between Iran and the United States, which took place in Geneva on Tuesday.

Al Busaidi, whose country is mediating between Tehran and Washington, said "the indirect negotiations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States concluded today in Geneva; with good progress towards identifying common objectives and related technical issues."

He added in a post on (X) "The atmosphere of our meetings was constructive. We jointly made serious efforts to establish a number of guidelines for a final agreement," acknowledging that "we still have a lot of work ahead of us. Both parties left with clear next steps before the next meeting," which was not scheduled.
