Khaberni - The Independent Election Commission announced that it has sent formal communications to a number of political parties that have not completed the procedures to amend their basic systems, in order to benefit from the additional period of one week starting from the date of receiving the official letters.
The "Independent Election Commission" indicated that this step is a continuation of previous procedures, where the party registry since last June has circulated to all registered parties the necessity to align their constitutions with the standards of good governance and compliance with the regulatory and legal frameworks for the operation of political parties.
The party registry at the Independent Election Commission clarified that the political parties addressed are: Labor Party, Renaissance and Workers Party, National Constitutional Party, Islamic Action Front Party, Workers Party, and Building and Action Party.
The Commission affirmed its commitment to enabling parties to complete compliance requirements within specified periods, while also emphasizing that it will apply the periods and provisions stipulated in Article (33) of the Political Parties Law against any party that fails to supply the party registry with the required documents and amendments after the expiration of the granted additional period.
The "Independent Election Commission" added that adherence to the provisions of the law and principles of governance form a fundamental pillar in developing the work
