Khaberni - Apple aims through the launch of the next version of the "iOS 27" system for iPhones to significantly improve the battery life for devices that receive the update, even if they are somewhat old, according to a report published by "Bloomberg".
The report indicates that Apple achieves this by cleaning up the system's core source codes, which includes removing parts of the codes from previous systems that are still present in the new system and rewriting the codes related to the system's application features to consume less battery.
In addition to upgrading some applications to make them faster and better in responsiveness than the old versions of the system, along with some improvements on the system interface to make it better and more responsive.
A separate report published by the American tech website "Apple Insider" indicates that the company is looking to update its main apps, but it is not known whether it will promote these updates and improve battery life or not.
These updates come against the background of preparing to launch new generations of Apple products, including the first "MacBook Pro" with a touchscreen and the highly anticipated foldable "iPhone", which comes with the largest battery among all the company’s phones.
Elsewhere, the report indicates that the "iPhone 18 Pro Max" comes with a larger default battery life due to an increased battery size, and if the system's battery consumption is improved, this means an enhanced performance of the "iPhone 18 Pro Max" battery beyond past years.
Inheritance of Poor Performance
In related news, a report published by "MacObserver", an American tech website, confirmed that Apple device users generally suffer from poor battery performance since the deployment of the "iOS 17" system, and refers to a series of complaints that flooded social media platforms immediately after the system's launch in September 2023.
Some users noted according to the report that their phone's temperature rises when executing a series of consecutive commands or using the phone for a prolonged period, which resulted in slower phone usage.
Additionally, previous updates significantly affected the battery life of iPhones, as users reported a decrease in battery condition and health immediately after installing any new update on the phone.
The report expects that "iOS 27" will not negatively affect the battery health or condition and will largely preserve it from further decline.
