Khaberni - The Chinese "Alibaba Group" revealed on Monday its latest model of artificial intelligence "Qwen 3.5" (Qwen 3.5), which is specifically designed to perform complex tasks independently, in a move the company described as a quantum leap in performance efficiency and cost reduction.
Reuters quoted the giant Chinese company as saying that the core improvements in the new model make it superior to competing American models in several key technical standards.
Alibaba clarified that "Qwen 3.5" possesses what it called "independent vision capabilities," a feature that enables it to make decisions and execute actions autonomously via mobile and desktop applications.
According to Reuters, the new model is economically feasible, as the company announced that it is 60% cheaper in usage cost compared to its direct predecessor, and eight times better at handling large loads and big data.
Market Domination Struggle in China
This launch comes at a time when competition within China is intensifying, with Alibaba seeking to increase the market share of the "Qwen" application in a market currently dominated by "ByteDance" with its "Dobao" model, alongside the strong rise of "Deep Sea" company which achieved remarkable global success last year.
Reports indicate that this timing coincides with the moves of competitors, where "ByteDance" launched just two days ago the "Dobao 2.0" update for its application that serves nearly 200 million users, reflecting a frenzied race towards what the major companies describe as the "era of independent artificial intelligence".
In an official statement, Alibaba confirmed that the aim of "Qwen 3.5" is to enable developers and businesses to "move faster and do more with the same computing capabilities," thus laying the cornerstone for a work environment based on artificial intelligence that not only answers but executes tasks.
