AlRawabdeh The Narrative is Based on a Unifying National Identity and Natural Diversity

Khaberni - Former Prime Minister Abdul Raouf Al-Rawabdeh confirmed that the Jordanian narrative is not just a transient political speech, but a cumulative historical path that emerged with the establishment of the Jordanian state and the building of institutions, settling in the collective consciousness of Jordanians as the narrative of a state and common identity and destiny, based on protecting the individual and safeguarding dignity, and achieving balance between unifying national identity and natural diversity in society.
This came during a national symposium titled "Our Historical Narrative, Our Jordanian Identity," organized by the Jordanian Women Union initiative – one of the initiatives of the Support Association for Women Empowerment, held today, Saturday, at the Abu Nseir Sports Club, attended by official and political figures, community leaders, and a crowd of citizens, where he was interviewed by media personality Mujahim Al-Adwan.
‏Al-Rawabdeh pointed out that the founding of the Jordanian state since 1921 helped establish boundaries and build a modern political entity, behind which thousands of researchers and historians have documented its history, noting that the real history of Jordan as a single unit still needs more systematic scientific effort to be written in simplified language accessible to the citizen.
‏Al-Rawabdeh discussed the geographical and historical dimension of Jordan as a civilizational corridor and crossroads, confirming that Jordan has remained a haven for free people and a safe haven for Arab brethren, without detracting from any national component, emphasizing that the current phase requires preserving state achievements by enhancing belonging, reinforcing the unifying Jordanian identity, and ensuring equality and non-discrimination.
‏‏On the axis of the Hashemite custodianship, Al-Rawabdeh stressed that the Hashemite custodianship of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem represents a religious and historical responsibility that has been entrenched since 1924, aimed at protecting these holy sites from tampering and change, affirming that this custodianship embodies the legitimacy of the Hashemite leadership based on the noble lineage and the legacy of the Great Arab Revolt, and its role in safeguarding the identity and status of Jerusalem against attempts of Judaization and change, from the Balfour Declaration to the present.
‏He pointed out that the Jordanian state, despite its limited resources, has achieved significant accomplishments in health, services, infrastructure, and economic projects, confirming that work is ongoing to seriously translate the Jordanian narrative, under the direct supervision of Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II and with the participation of experienced and competent individuals, enhancing the confidence of the young generations in the state’s project and its ability to renew.
‏The symposium included a poetic recitation by poet Ahmad Al-Khateeb about love for the homeland, the renaissance of the nation, and the leader of the nation, and a film material presentation reviewed milestones from the Jordanian narrative, while at the end of the event, Al-Rawabdeh was honored with a commemorative shield from the Jordanian Women Union in appreciation of his national and intellectual role.
‏In her speech on behalf of the initiative, Rana Al-Daoud confirmed that the Jordanian Women Union continues its efforts to promote the culture of development, work, and creativity, empower women, and reinforce the values of dialogue, moderation, and shared responsibility, considered as fundamental pillars in the Jordanian narrative, emphasizing that the Jordanian woman represents a carrier of national memory and a promoter of awareness and a pillar for sustainable community development.
