Khaberni - The General Secretary of the Building and Work Party, Dr. Ziad Al-Hajjaj, issued a press statement in which he expressed the party's condemnation and strong disapproval of the insults and unacceptable rise in shouting volume witnessed during one of the sessions of the Jordanian House of Representatives, considering that such a scene tarnishes the dignity of the legislative institution and undermines the image of parliamentary work in front of the Jordanian public.
The party confirmed in its statement that such behaviors are utterly unacceptable and cannot be justified under any circumstances, emphasizing that the House of Representatives represents the house of the people and the platform for legislation and oversight, and it is obligatory to be a model in respecting dialogue, discipline, and national responsibility, not a field for chaos and disputes that weaken citizens' confidence in their constitutional institutions.
The statement pointed out that the stage requires responsible performance that rises to the level of national challenges, emphasizing the necessity to stop any transgressions that affect the dignity of the legislative institution or tarnish its role, with strict adherence to the ethics of parliamentary work and its practices.
The party also called for serious national responsibility, preserving the stature and dignity of the House of Representatives, and acting in a manner befitting the trust and aspirations of the Jordanian people.
Yesterday, Representative Mohammad Hudaib attacked the Speaker of the House, Mazen Qadi, saying to him: "Who are you.. I am not a soldier under your command", to which Qadi replied: "Attend the council sessions then talk".
