Khaberni - The American police accused a married school secretary in Indiana of having sex with two students, while she was beaten by her husband when he caught her during one of the meetings.
The Union City police said that the disturbing behavior of Alicia Hughes was revealed after they received a call about an assault during the weekend.
The police mentioned that the husband discovered Hughes, the secretary at Randolph Eastern School Corporation, with an 18-year-old student and confronted them, before physically assaulting her. The incident is under investigation by the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.
The investigations revealed that she had a sexual relationship with another student, aged 17 years, where they had sex at least five times.
Hughes was arrested and charged with five counts of sexual misconduct with a minor related to her relationship with the underage boy. It is unknown if she faces any charges related to the encounter with the 18-year-old student.
The identity of her husband has not been disclosed, and it is currently unknown if he will face charges related to the alleged assault. The secretary was taken to the Randolph County jail, where she is held on a cash bond of only $25,000.
The school supervisor Neil Adams refused to disclose whether Hughes is still employed, simply stating that she "had been removed from all duties with students pending the outcome of the legal process."
He added: "As this is an active criminal investigation, and to protect the privacy of the students and the integrity of the process, RESC will not make any additional comments about the details at this time. We will continue to follow all the required legal and administrative procedures according to state laws and board policy."
