Iran Warns We Will Stand Until the Last Breath

Khaberni - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard's naval forces carried out on Tuesday the first stage of extensive military maneuvers in the Gulf waters, focusing on the defense of the three islands and showcasing advanced capabilities.

Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri, commander of the Revolutionary Guard's naval forces, emphasized on the sidelines of the maneuvers, "Our country’s islands represent Iran’s life and its spiritual and national honor," vowing to "confront any enemy until the last breath."

He said, "Our islands are our life, our spiritual honor, and the honor of our nation. We will stand against any enemy until the last breath for these islands and these waters," stressing that the Iranian forces, "use highly precise weapons on the islands."

He added: "The Iranian Revolutionary Guard's naval forces in the Strait of Hormuz provide comprehensive intelligence coverage around the clock, covering all aspects of the Strait of Hormuz, whether on the surface, in the air, or even underwater," confirming that "this intelligence coverage is a strategy to ensure the security of navigation in this strait, as the economies of countries in this region, and many countries outside it, are linked to the security of this waterway and vital strait."

According to Iran's Fars News Agency, the "Strong Defense and Gulf Islands Conquest" maneuvers were successfully executed, including training on new offensive and defensive tactics, and involved rapid reaction brigades stationed on the islands.

The maneuvers witnessed the operation of missile units with the latest types of missiles and conducted missile combat operations in electronic warfare conditions. Additionally, the drone and submarine units of the Iranian navy destroyed specific targets, launching from the three islands (Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb, and Abu Musa).

The main phase of these maneuvers is scheduled to continue on Wednesday in the strategic Strait of Hormuz, focusing on ensuring "smart control" of this vital waterway through which about a third of the world’s oil supplies pass.

These maneuvers and statements come as the region experiences escalating tension against the background of the Iranian nuclear file and the increasing American military presence in the Gulf waters, amidst an exchange of threats between Tehran and Washington.
