Khaberni - Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani expressed on Monday his country's readiness to aid in the training of police forces in the Gaza Strip and other regions of the Palestinian territories, as part of Rome's efforts to contribute to the stability of the Middle East.
Tajani said at a press conference in Rome: "We are prepared to train a new police force in Gaza, as we are ready to train a Palestinian police force."
He confirmed Rome's readiness to participate as an observer in the Peace Council initiative launched by U.S. President Donald Trump and that Italy received an invitation to attend a council meeting this week in Washington.
