Khaberni - Jordan condemned, on Monday, in the strongest terms the provocative raids carried out by Israeli officials, the latest of which was a raid by an Israeli Knesset member on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / the noble Sanctuary, which is a blatant violation of international law, a condemnable escalation, and an unacceptable provocation that must stop.
The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, confirmed the kingdom's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of the continued unacceptable raids by extremist Israeli officials on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque / the noble Sanctuary, considering them a blatant violation of the existing historical and legal status in Al-Aqsa Mosque / the noble Sanctuary, an unacceptable attempt to divide it temporally and spatially, and a desecration of its sanctity.
Al-Majali emphasized that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied city of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
He warned of the consequences of continuing provocative and illegitimate violations of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, calling on the international community to take a firm international stance that obliges Israel, as the occupying power, to stop its violations and illegitimate practices towards the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and its violations of the sanctity of the holy places, which are a continuation of the extremist policies of the Israeli government aimed at continuing the dangerous escalation and unilateral illegal actions in the occupied West Bank.
Al-Majali reiterated the assertion that the entire area of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which spans 144 dunams, is purely a place of worship for Muslims, and that the Administration of Jerusalem Awqaf and Al-Aqsa Mosque affairs, under the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places of Jordan, is the legal entity exclusively authorized to manage the affairs of Al-Aqsa Mosque / the noble Sanctuary, and to organize entry to it.
