Khaberni - A document issued by the Iraqi Ministry of Justice/Reform Department revealed statistics on the numbers of foreign and Arab inmates in Iraqi prisons, distributed by their nationalities.
According to the document, the number of Jordanian prisoners is 19, while the total number of foreign inmates reached 5704 from various nationalities. Syrian nationals topped the list with 3544 inmates, followed by Turkish with 181, Moroccan with 187, and Egyptian with 116, in addition to inmates from other Arab and foreign nationalities, including Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iran, Ukraine, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and various European and Asian countries.
