Khaberni - Hussein Irbid football team's Brazilian technical director Franco confirmed his confidence in his players' ability to achieve a positive result against the Iranian team Esteghlal on Tuesday, at Amman Stadium, in the second leg of the round of sixteen of the Asian Champions League 2.
This was stated during the press conference held today, Monday at the Regency Hotel in Amman, where Franco confirmed that the team is ready for the match and aims to achieve a result that guarantees qualification for the quarter-finals, despite the strength of the Iranian team.
Hussein's coach pointed out that his team adopted a defensive-like strategy in the first leg that took place in Dubai last week, which ended with Hussein's win, 1-0, noting that the team will follow a different strategy at Amman Stadium.
The coach indicated that his team is prepared for all possibilities, including the match extending to extra time and penalties, especially since his players practiced penalty kicks yesterday.
He added: "All players are ready for the showdown except for forward Rizq Bani Hani, who recently trained with the team, but he is still in pain and it's difficult for him to be in the lineup".
In turn, Hussein team player Rajai Ayed confirmed that he and his teammates are ready for the match with the goal of qualifying for the next round, considering that the team is now aiming for the championship title and is qualified for that.
On the other hand, the coordination meeting for the match between Al-Hussein Sports Club and Esteghlal Tehran Club of Iran was held today, Monday, where all operational, security, and media aspects of the match were reviewed.
The teams also agreed on the official uniforms, where Hussein will wear the yellow and black shirt, while the Iranian team will appear in blue.
